Errors can only be deleted through a bank or mortgage company. You must provide proof in written, notarized form that the error is indeed an error. This proof must be provided to you by the agency that made the mistake and must be indisputable.
2. Do Away With Negative Credit
Deleting negative credit items that are accurate is much more difficult to do that deleting negative credit items that are a mistake. There are credit repair clinics but they are expensive and many of them don't deliver on their promises. If there is a mistake then you can send a copy of your proof and a dispute letter to the credit bureaus, which must respond within a reasonable time limit.
3. Leverage Someone Else’s Credit
This requires that someone allow you to basically use their credit. To do this you have to apply for a credit card and in the section where you can add a card holder you add them and their credit score is yours now. It is best if they have an older credit score. If you can do this with multiple people then your credit score will increase dramatically. Remember that they must have good credit.
4. Play Round Robin
This is done by getting a secured credit card and taking out seventy percent of the limit and using that to get another secured credit card and doing the same another and another. Then the money is placed in a bank account and you must make your payments on time. This will improve your credit score but you must maintain a perfect payment schedule.
5. Pay Your Bills On Time
This one is the most obvious but it bears mentioning because being late on payments is absolutely unnecessary if you have the money to pay them. Get a calendar and go out of your way to make sure you are never late on any bill payments and you wont have your credit score impacted negatively from this source.
6. Have Debts? Pay Them Down
Since your credit score is a record of your ability to pay debts it is important that you have debts to make a record of. Pay them down, but not off, and this will make it much easier to manage your personal debt.
7. Don't Close Your Credit Accounts
Simply put, don't close accounts. Keep an active roster of accounts you are paying off, this will contribute to your credit score.
8. Don't Reply To New Credit Offers, No Matter How Tempting
If you are having trouble meeting your current credit obligations then don't respond to any more credit card offers. Fix what you have before you take on any new credit accounts.
9. Balance Your Credit Type Mix
Try to have as much diversity as possible in your credit accounts. For instance you don't want to have all credit cards.
10. Don't File for Bankruptcy
